On 1st July 2026, Singapore residents are expecting utility bills to be up to 17% higher.

Unexpectedly, I’m down with fever and sore throat on 2 July, and it indirectly offered me the reason to reduce consumption of air-conditioning.

However, it’s so warm these days, how can we not use air-conditioning at all?

This brought me to think that it’s important to find ways to reduce the impact of the increase in power charges as air-conditioning is crucial to get by with the heat.

Investment involves risks, so how do we go about it to make it work for us?

Are you ready to implement some measures to counter the increasing power cost? This is how I always review my financial planning, because financial situation is always changing.

Hope this has given you some inspiration, although it doesn’t constitute financial advice. Do note that proper financial advice is only given upon proper fact-finding of individual’s financial situation. Whatever works for others may not work for you, which is why speaking to a good financial consultant is essential.
